…………MY FIRST PROPOSAL…………
It was 18th April, 2014
when I first saw her. I had gone to market, forced by my mother to bring some
things from the grocer. She stared at me and our eyes met for some time. I felt
something inside when I first saw her. I did not have the courage to talk to an
unknown girl, that too in a marketplace amongst so many people.
Later, I
found out that she had also joined the tuition where I was earlier going. I do
not know how, but I brought poor marks in Maths and
I was again
forced by my parents to join the tuitions. Now that I had joined the tuitions,
but still I did not knew anything about her (her name also). But gradually I
came to know her name, very beautiful like her: Anamika.
One day, I
went to tuitions early and saw that she was sitting alone. I asked her the
details of her class, school, etc. and was very happy to know that she was in
the same class as I was. Then we became friends, just friends
although not so close as Aarti and Gopal in Revolution 2020.After that, I used
to go to tuitions earlier than the time just to see her. And yes, I solved the
Maths problems faster than anyone else just to get praising from teacher in
front of her. Love makes you do many impossible things. Every romantic song and
every romantic scene in movies reminded me of her.
But there
was just one step left i.e. to propose her. I didn’t wanted that any other guy
should take chance on her, so I had to do it as soon as possible. But still
there was one problem: I didn’t knew how to propose anyone and I needed some
help from experts who were none other than my friends (who have a girlfriend).I
practiced how to propose girls in front of my friends for 2-3 months. And as I
was doing Maths very well, not just for getting marks but to impress her so I
got very good marks in the half-yearly exam.
After many
days or rather weeks of my practice, it was finally time for the final show or
rather performance. It was 23rd November, 2014(sun) when I finally decided
to propose her. We were talking and going home. On the way, seeing the street empty
I bent on my knees and said to her, “Anamika, for the first time in my life I
was enhanced by you. Would you like to become the……….the………..lo……………….love of
my life? It’s just you or no one else for me. Now it’s up to you to whether
accept or reject my proposal.” I remained bent on my knees with my eyes closed
holding my hand so that she would hold it. But when I didn’t got any reply I
opened my eyes, got up to find that she was gone.
After that
she has stopped talking to me. Now whenever she sees me, she takes another way
and goes home. Now it’s up to the readers to decide where I made a mistake in
my proposal that I got this kind of reply. She has started to think that I
might force her to do something with me so she now comes out of her house with
her mother or brother. I can’t imagine it was over in just a few months time.
I’m now and I’ll never propose or love any girl as I’d promised. Whenever any
of my friends ask about my relationship status, I tell them that I’m single and
I’m not interested in any girl. What else can I say them? Who should I blame
for this?
And finally,
I would like to say some words to Anamika. “WELL ANAMIKA IF YOU’RE READING
THIS BE SURE THAT I’M NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING WRONG WITH YOU. IF NOT
RELATIONSHIP, RATHER BECOME MY FRIENDS AGAIN. I WILLN’T PROPOSE YOU AGAIN. I
HOPE I HAD RATHER WAITED FOR THE CORRECT TIME.”
